Lately, I’ve noticed a trend going on in my closet. High-neck pieces seem to be taking over! I don’t know if it’s the modest yet no less attractive feature they have or the elegant yet very wearable look they are, but I’ve been obsessed. Last Saturday, I went down to Santa Monica Pier and if you're anything like me, you don’t want to walk down to the beach or chill around looking half-naked. Although this high-neck bikini was on the conservative side, finding the perfect cover-up was a must.
Here’s a look I created with this boho dress that gave just the right amount of coverage, while still showcasing this beautiful bikini top. And of course, I had to add a few delicate gold pieces to bring some shine, because they may be small, but they can definitely add a lot to an outfit! As much as I love dainty gold jewelry, I've had hard times finding quality pieces that would fit the budget and still last me a while. I'm kind of tired of buying cheap jewelry from fast fashion brands that would rust after a couple weeks since they're made of brass and came in contact with water (especially rings, because who has the time to take them off for every hand wash, anyways?) So you can imagine how happy I was when I received these beautiful gold pieces on Saturday morning, especially because I saw that they were gold-plated metal, which means I can dive in the ocean and swim to my heart's content, without worrying about it rusting. Well, I didn't do exactly that, but they were the perfect beach-sturdy yet still delicate-looking accessories I needed for my day at Santa Monica! What's your favorite outfit to wear to the beach?
