Yes, I’m in Chinatown. Anyone who knows me well is probably smirking at the irony. But I swear I didn’t purposely coordinate my outfit to match the lanterns, although it does fit in the vibes here, perfectly! As we are now rolling into the fall season, I thought this warm rust-colored dress captured the autumn look. It reminds me of the quickly yet vibrantly changing colored leaves back in New York. There is no doubt that fall had always been my favorite.
Summer is wonderful, the beach days are my favorite, and the warm weather uplifts the soul, but sometimes it can get a bit stagnant. In fall, the skies are always more strikingly blue, and as the humidity lowers, the air feels fresher. Most of all, you get to see mother nature’s beautiful yet fleeting color show as you watch the leaves on the trees turn red, orange and gold, day by day. Seeing how quickly the leaves change color makes me realize how fast time is going by, and that encourages me to use my time that much more wisely.
Here I styled this dress with a fringe kimono and black knee high boots that really complimented the rust color, giving off a balanced boho and chic look. I got this entire outfit at a WetSeal Blogger Event, so thank you WetSeal!
